First Luxury Villas Now Selling in Zimbabwe Cyber City

A new development is bringing luxury living and smart city technology to Zimbabwe. According to reports, Zimbabwe Cyber City has launched sales of the first villas in what it aims to be Africa's first smart city.

With prices from US$520,000 to over US$1 million, 50 luxury villas are now on the market in the initial phase of the US$500 million mixed-use development in Mount Hampden. Construction began last year and is expected to take 18-24 months to complete for this first phase.

Prospective buyers can choose between payment options including 12-month payment plans with a 25% down payment and installments. The five-bedroom townhouse villas start at US$1.15 million with a US$57,000 booking fee and US$287,000 installments over 4 months after the down payment. Smaller villas with two to four bedrooms are also available.

The ambitious goal is for Zimbabwe Cyber City to revolutionize the country's economic and social landscape. The development is a special economic zone with incentives approved by the government. It will cover 2.5 million square feet when complete, with Parliament and government offices also slated for the area.

Zimbabwe Cyber City is envisioned as a hub for luxury living, business, and innovation. As Africa's first smart city, it will feature high-tech infrastructure and sustainable technology. Solar power, smart traffic systems, high-speed internet, and automated amenities are planned.

With foreign investment and interest already demonstrated, Zimbabwe Cyber City represents a new option for upscale living and working. For prospective buyers interested in making an investment or future home purchase, the chance to own in Africa's premier smart city may be compelling.

As Zimbabwe's economy continues to go through the doldrums, projects like Cyber City could bring new opportunities. Its success may lead to more overseas investment and development. For now, buyers have a chance to buy into an elite new address in one of 50 nearly complete villas. The chance to live at the forefront of a technologically advanced and sustainable city of tomorrow may be drawing buyers.
